I have thought much about where my life as a transperson has taken me. It's been twenty years (July 26) since I transitioned. Though I haven't had surgery or taken hormones, I identify as trans and view myself that way.
There are those parties who seexe me as an abomination. I didn't 't decide to be transgender; it just moved in that direction. I had no control over it. I was concerned if my Christian faith and being transgender were compatible. One day I prayed about it and received God's affirmation and confirmation.
I have met some wonderful people over the years who I consider to be friends. Most likely I would have never met them if I wasn't transgender. Their stories and experiences I take to heart.
As the journey continues I am looking forward to the future. In spite of what outside forces are doing to erase ouexexistence, I will continue to be who I am.

There were a few takeaways from this year's pride parades. In spite of all the anti-LGBTQ rhetoric, the parades went on with much more purpose. We were making ourselves loud and proud.
One irony is that world pride was held in Washington, D.C. where President Trump and his minions want to push us back in the closet.
A special shoutout to Budapest. The Hungarian hierarchy said that the pride march was illegal. Turned out to be one of the biggest parades I saw.
Yes, we are defying all the obstacles that designed to stop us. Onward and upward!
