COMMENTARY

I went down to the World Trade Center site last evening on the 25th anniversary. Security was tight (had bags checked) and it was crowded. I come every year.

My favorite spot is by the waterfalls where the towers once stood. Red and white roses were in prominence at the north site. There were more flags at the south site, It was quiet for the most part. The falls have a calming effect. A band featuring bagpipes plays several songs.

Even after all these years what happened still stings. I have watched many videos and interviews the past few days. I reflected  on the loss of innocent lives. I am also proud of the many people who stepped up big time. Strangers helping strangers.

I will keep coming here as it is my homage to all those affected by 9/11.
