I once asked a young trans woman what she wanted for herself. She was strugglng with where she wanted to go next.

I wonder if this question has been asked to the folks who are struggling. It's a fair e that probably isn't asked enough. Just my opinion. 

Expectations can be an albatross around the neck How to look, what say or don't say, which job one should take. One may fulfill those expectations but still not be accepted. 

Living your own reality is the best way. No one is like you. Being anyone but yourself is self-defeating and stressful.

RIGHT CHOICE

I have driven along roads like this. Mile after mile of asphalt. There have been times that wanted to keep going, to where I didn't know When I transitioned I didn't know where it would take me. However, I kept going.

My life hasn't always been a straight line. There were doubts, wondering what I was doing, and if I was doing the right thing. When I make a decision in the affirmative, there was no turning back. 

Sometimes I think about my validity as a trans person. I know that I made the right decision.

Now that all the celebrations are over, it is time reflect and remember the good things that happened . It is also a chance to think about where we want to go and what we want to see happen.

SUMMARY

On this last day of Pride Month, I am grateful for the wonderful experiences. The parade was vibrant with mostly young people in attendance. I just took in the vibes of the music as floats and marchers paraded by.

Another year has passed. Next year is coming. I watched marches in other cities. A few banned parades, but the show went on. Good for them! Many anti-trans were introduced and defeated.

It was a year of trials and tribulations. People stood up against those who want to erase us. It has been a year of resilience. This septugenarian is happy and celibrate this year..
