This Saturday the Division II football champions will be crowned when the Northwest Missouri State Bearcats tangle with University of North Alabama Lions.

The University of Mary-Hardin-Baylor Crusaders of Texas will battle the Titans of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh for the championship in Friday, December 16th at Crusader Stadium in Belton, Texas.

Mount Union Division III NCAA Football Champs

Congratulations to the Mount Union College Purple Raiders in winning the 2015 NCAA Division III Football championship defeating the University of St. Thomas, 49-35. 

NCAA FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP-DIVISION III

The last two teams will do battle next Saturday December 18th to decide the NCAA football champions in division III. The top ranked Purple Raiders of the College of Mount Union (Ohio) reached the championship by defeating the defending division III champions and long time nemesis University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, 36-6. Their opponent will be the Tommies of the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota. They soundly defeated Oregon's Linfield College, 38-17 to reach the title game.

Bisons are Division 1-AA Champs

Congratulations to the Bison of North Dakota State University on winning the NCAA 1-AA football Championship coming from behind to defeat the Redbirds of Illinois State 29-27. 

Life Full

I haven't posted here in several days due to some family matters. It has been quite a week to say the least. I have been reading, writing, going out and enjoying life.

The 2014 NFL season starts today (Green Bay vs. Seattle) and goes full bore on Sunday. I will post my predictions tomorrow. College football has gotten underway in what I believe will be a topsy-turvy year.

Summer is almost over but the fall is approaching. It's my favorite time of year, especially when the leaves change colors. I hope to take my granddaughter apple picking upstate in a few weeks. No climbing trees for me, though. I' m a little too old for that.

2014 NFL Football Season

Preparations for the 2014 NFL football are under way. I've bee a rabid Jets fan since 1960 when they were known as the New York Titans. I was 20 years old when I watched the Jets win Super Bowl III. It's been a loooong dry spell.  Is this the year a miracle could happen? The offense needs to improve and with the new additions I believe it has. The key will be the play of the Jets quarterback, whether it's Geno Smith or Michael Vick. The defense looks solid in the front seven. The secondary needs to be sorted out.   

I not making any predictions now because camps only started a couple of weeks ago. I will have when training camp is over and all the other technicalities are sorted through (injuries, waiver wire pickups, etc). Hope this season will better than last year's 8-8 record.
