Oh, Genevieve, I'm so sorry to hear this. I'm glad to know she didn't suffer. When we lost our Felix a year-and-a-half ago, we found solace in his going gently also. I'm sure you've already heard this, but it's true. The best antidote for grief over losing a pet is opening your heart to another. We learned this after taking in a new kitten we named Cody. While no two cats could be more different, having Cody with us has kept Felix with us, too.
I came by to wish you a joyous Easter. And though I'm not quite sure how the resurrection message applies to this, somehow it does. New life.
