Genevieve's Gem's

My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.

Vigil for Another Fallen Trans Woman

I will be attending a vigil tomorrow night for a trans woman who died on May 4th. She was attacked on the night of April 25th and suffered head injuries. She died of those injuries.

The woman was misgendered by the media using the wrong pronouns. She was a person of color, fifty nine years old and homeless.

Death, Coming Out, and Closure

Much has happened in my life thus the reason why I haven't posted in a while. My sister passed two weeks ago so the family is cleaning out her apartment. She was cremated. Been sad and am tired but life will return to normal in a few days.

I came out to my brother and nephew. It's the second time that did this much sooner than I wanted to but it is what it is. It turned out good. The theater group I'm involved with will perform next Saturday (May 13th) before trans and gender non conforming people. The following Friday will be a performance before the public.
